1.3 New and Improved Features
1.3 Bug Fixes
1.3 Known Issues
Yay glad to see this. I know this game can be incredible with what can be added in. Here's to a bright future for Godus. I hope you guys are finding the game successfull so you can keep working on it
My game freezes on the launch screen; updated to v1.3, verified the steam files' integrity and rebooted my iMac but the game still freezes at the launch screen. I can hear the ambient sounds (birds, seagulls, water/waves) but the game just freezes up. Really looking forward to playing the new content but not should how to get this fixed. :-(
Darn auto-correct.... that last bit should have been "not sure how to get this fixed."
With almost 1 Go of log (yes, 1 000 000 Ko) in verbose_15982.log
And always the same line : Framework: IwError: Terrain data corruption.
Deleting all the files manualy and redownload fix-it
When I Ioaded up 1.3 for the first time I found all of my settlements that had previous existed had now vanished, replaced by a small hill.
In addition, most of my followers are completely ignoring the totem.
Since my settlements all vanished I was trying to rebuild them and also improve the building density around where they had been. Knocking down old buildings to encourage new and larger ones. However the followers were almost all ignoring the totem and could not be moved (the totem was definitely on, I turned it on and off several times just to make sure and they never properly responded).
This made restructuring an area nearly impossible because as soon as I could demolish one house the followers ejected would instantly try to make new smaller houses right on the spot, ignoring the instruction to shove off to the totem so I could rearrange that space. I had to turn the whole area into a sea of rocks and basically kill off every follower in the area just to get them to stop building tiny level 1 houses, before I could finally clear the area and restructure it for larger, superior homes.
This was IMMENSELY frustrating and annoying. Of course all my settlements going poof was too. >_<
Anyone else have this problem?
Addendum: Dug up several of the new treasure chests as well and they all gave me nothing. Opened them and nothing popped up at all. >_<
The followers ignoring the totem thing is basically game breaking at this point. I can't control them, they're constantly building houses when I'm not ready for them. I have maybe 4 or 5 that follow the totem and everyone else ignores it.
Do I HAVE to restart my homeworld? Is that the only way to clear out this weird behavior?
Some of the same problems here. Did not restart my land.Only a very small amount of followers go to the totem, the rest ignores it completely.A truckload of the new chests are empty. When I move abode plots around and lock them to a position they usually break down the moment they try to build them, it seems that you can place them manually in positions you can not actually build them on now. Also who came up with the brilliant idea that it would now take over 2 hours to get belief from a settlement? I don't want to play in 5 minute instances, spending up all my belief in one go and then being forced to wait for hours to play more.
Deleted the game and reinstalled it, no change. Still freezes at the launch screen.
I continued with my existing game, I'm seeing random amounts of chests being empty but the biggest issue I've had so far is that there are expansion shrines that are underwater.
Unless there's a way to remove water from a dug hole, I'm not sure how I can get any guys to it to expand.
Was flipping through the book and came across a card 94: Totem Capacity.
Is only a few followers responding to the totem INTENTIONAL?!
This is... bluntly, a HORRIBLE idea. I feel like I'm constantly fighting against my own people, trying to get them to stop building crappy level 1 houses and wait for me to fix the land so they can build something better.
Also followers only being able to emerge if there's a nearby plot for them to build on is a total game breaker for multiplayer battles. I was trying to do a capture the gems race with someone and I couldn't get any excess population to go mine the gems. The main use of the totem is really to get them to STOP doing things you don't want them to do so you can work. If they're not obeying then you're fighting against them every second and that has pretty instantly sapped out every last scrap of fun I was having with this game. :(
Think I may sit out for a bit and wait for some of these issues to be addressed. Before it was at least fun to play even if many things weren't working right. This is not even fun to test out cause my own people have become the enemy of trying to do anything. It's just frustrating now. :(
Oh also for the comment just above me, I've also found the beams of light (which I guess are shrines?) to be underwater. Only found one so far that's above ground. Got my followers working on it now but because only a few respond to the totem, going to take a while for it to be finished. -_-
I'm experiencing the same issues as some of the others here. A lot of chests open with nothing in them, probably six or so before I stopped playing, time remaining on houses being built flashes continuously and erratically, followers not responding to totem even when its only one or two followers, seems to have quite a bit more lag than the last version especially when dragging cliffs, and finally some new land with gem veins do not respond to sculpting particularly one with a chest inside it. I've only played probably 15 minutes so far, I'll continue on later this evening and report any other issues.
Love this game though, just thought I should finish with that!
As an update, I restarted my game and haven't had any empty chest issues.
At the same time though, the gameplay seems to have slowed drastically. Very few people seem to be walking around and none are responding to my totems, resulting in no new houses which is stunting my progress through the ages.
Same issues as Sean but with PC. Game freezes on startup. Verified game cache. Game freezes on startup. Will next delete local copy and re-download and re-install. I'll have to look into deleting any hidden appdata after that. (T.T)
It worked. Deleted leftover data in steam directory.
I also deleted the old Godus data, reinstalled, and then rebooted my computer; unfortunately it did not work for me. The game still freezes at the launch screen and is not playable. Guess I'll have to wait for a patch to fix this (hopefully only a few days).
Did you look for any data in your steam folders that steam may have left behind after a "delete local content" action in steam? Not sure if that's a thing on Mac but that's what I had to do on my PC.
Godus has some cool features when updated , i agree with the others that working with the totem and you own people and with the missions it istn possible to play with so little people .... Also only tier 1 houses produce followers .... with this update follower wise it kinda sucks big time ! sadly i'm going to wait till another update is coming , the gaming experience is at a rock bottom for me ... already bought the game on steam so hope with some good feedback this game will be awesome ! Follow up on not chosing to reset the world:The new shrine of power and the new shrine of expansion on the right are in the water. These can be worked on by digging them out, letting the followers be interested in working on them and then covering it up to sand level. However neither shrine actually expands the area. (probably related to the fact that they were spawned underwater to begin with)Also when it comes to the new sprogging and totem behaviour, are you serious? Reducing the amount of followers a totem can have to 3, and then on upgrade 6 is ridiculous, re-constructing an area is impossible unless you make it into swiss cheese and wait for every follower to die, working out new areas takes forever because way too few people go there, especially if you work industrially like me (basically trying to make the biggest abodes on completely flat land, not having some organic and natural spread in placement and sizes).Sprogging is just weird because I can't send a large amount of followers to a gem vein, nor can I have the maximum amount of followers building an abode because you stop the sprogging when half of the limit is reached. Why? I mean, yes, it's really nice that you don't have flags up on all buildings at all times because that avoids the problem most beginners will have where they sprog people constantly because there is a flag on the abode, causing growth to slow down majorly because your population keeps dying. But it severely limits how you can play the game when you couple it together with a super tiny amount of followers that can go to a totem.I hope to see sprogging behaviour and totem capacity changed to something that allows more freedom in playstyle. I feel like you're pushing us down into one specific way of playing Godus.
Big Problem - reset my game and started over. After Building Abodes (2x2) I click on houses with flags. What I see is that several flags go down at one (2 - 3) so I lose a lot of builders. After a few minutes I'm stuck with a few houses, no flags anymore and nothing else I can do. When I rightclick on the house there are guys ready but I can't activate them... Did a reset again, same result. Any Ideas? I run a rig with Win 8.1 but that worked before. Happens now with 1.3. Attached a Screenshot for better understanding.
Update: I just found out that when I grow the land a bit until a new building space is there (1x1) all the flags sprout up again. I click on one and all the flags go down again. Furthermore, no more believe is produced?
lol, I'm starting to believe this is by design - big (shitty) change. What do I do when I don't have believe left and all the flags are down? Would like to delete my previous posts but I can neither edit nor delete them...
Lot's of problems in 1.3. Game just ended- bugged out and exited a few times while sculpting. Discovered three new shrines of Expansion. One (far left of map) did not expand, the other two are deep under water and will not rise (like some rocks do when you raise land).
Some cards have number problems 6/2 instead of 2/6. Chests spawn underwater and give noting. Couldn't there be a raise command for objects instead of not just land?
People seem more unresponsive in finding ways to get to the totems (more dumb). Some followers only seem to want to do one thing, (ignores building a house). Figures seem to all or closely look male. Can we please have some chicks? (lol). Also figures seem left-handed. Why not both? Little things will make this game special instead of run-of-the-mill.
Giant statue seemingly has no use. If not implemented, why put it in yet? Zero reward for digging it up. Graphic-wise game is so-so. Why Blue people population font.... blends exactly with sky. I suggest a different value to a complimentary color.
So, IMHO opinion, the new upgrade though exciting and interesting, still continues to make Godus a broke game. Fantastic concept though!
Question, I assume everyone has the same starting point? Why, if this is seemingly on a Jupiter-sized world, won't every starting point be different with difference resources and positions of statues and such? I have the exact same start-up as the demos on you-tube.
Addendum: Some chests on land have nothing in them. If this is gameplay- fine. If these empty chests are supposed to have a card that is needed to expand bur comes up empty... ... the gamer is stuck.
Another update: 7 chests (4 above ground).... all empty. Something seems wrong.
I had a very quick play this morning before work. Was on for about 30 minutes
Could the issues with empty chests be because you'd gained the cards elsewhere? Before the update I was struggling to locate cards to advance me
PM and 22cans had said that there was one card that was a game breaker that they'd hidden. Maybe they'd held other cards back to limit progression as the game design wasn't advanced enough?
Maybe now, with the update, you can play much further and so they've made cards more accessible. But we've already collected them elsewhere or we'd found them while they were difficult to obtain?
Also, I think the houses should have a lock/unlock option. So the plots come up as you sculpt but by default are locked. This would give you chance to move them around and also size them up to levels greater than 1 before they were built.
Godus isn't a crazy fast paced game on the Homeworld so there souldn't be any harm in making your followers wait to build, it won't disadvantage you. But for Godliness, the ability to define the layout and scale of buildings a bit more would be a nice touch
I heard on twitter through 22 cans: There isn't supposed to be empty chests. I need one card (limestone), that has to be found via a chest, and now I have 10 chests that are empty in a row.... I like the houses locked idea.....
I hadn't seen the twitter post regarding the chests. Do they explain why there are empty chests then?
I was hunting for a charcoal card for ages and finally found it, but I've probably had in excess of 15-20 empty chests
I've come across some underwater shrines as well. Unless there's a technological advancement for swimmers, this must be a glitch
I've got a shrine of power and a shrine of expansion I can't do anything with.
There are serious flaws here.
Overall, some fixes and changes here were welcome on my point of view, being one of them the complete flow re-craft, shrine detection, a new age to test, etc.
But the explanation on the patch itself is very poor.
eg. "Finger of God is now more effective". Great, but mind telling us before land it KILLS all your followers inside the abodes now?
eg."Felt tents no longer produce Belief and instead house more Followers and have faster Follower generation". You could also tell the players to be careful not to spend too much belief at the beginning then. What of new players that know nothing of the game? This current re-start is bad. It needs at least a small amount of belief income until the player gets an abode capable of producing.
eg."Totem rebalanced to reduce number of Followers" The previous number was mega high. You could have stated now it was just four.
You get the point.
Either way, ty for the patch. Keep the good work, and pay attention to people's idea. The game needs a lot of "beautify" on itself.
Two empty chests in a row. Afraid to proceed in case more are empty and I'll be out of cards with no chance to get back...
The game worked really cool after update.. My followers do though kinda hate me now? :( wont got o my totem... The shrines are under water now?? and almost every chest is either empty or just have mud bircks in it? they wont go into bronze age :( although there is now more gems around? thats nice :D My biggest problem started when i began to build a farm... my game kept crashing just saying "not responding" in my taskmanager... I couldnt even load the game up for 2 seconds before it crashed again :( i tried re-installing it and now its just forzen at the loading screen :(
Just bought the game to sweeten up my sunday, does not work -.- This is the message I get, when I look up "s3 sim debug" when nothing happens while loading ... !?
"No executable to load. Place an executable (.s86) file in your data directory or use the ICF file setting [S3E] GameExecutable=x "
-.- -.- -.-
I didnt install the Steam version of the game, i just installed the game without steam. How can i download this patch?
Mace1106: It stated that the chests should not be empty.
Except the expansion shrines not working or beeing under water. i dont have any other problems in primitiv age, but after i entered the bronzeage i have diffculties to gather crops. my farmers go to the farms, but dont gather anything, they just dissapear, but the count on these farms say 3/3 or 4/4 ... but noone'sworking there. have resetted the homeworld and wait for the first 1.3-patch now. and spawning new farmers throught the settlements is somehow bugged to. they wont spawn new guys even though the settlements are full and farm empty :(
As always: sry for my bad english. not my mothertongue and no talent for languages. :P
@Perse ArskaThe game is only available on Steam, why do you go to their official support page to tell them that you've pirated the game and want help?
Noticed an amusing bug - the followers you get from the multiplayer opponent card sometimes seem to change names. I've had 1x B.Plimmer and 2 Davids for awhile, from getting 1 card from the AI and 2 cards from a real person (whom I dont actually know if David was their god name, even), and now I suddenly have 3 Davids and no Plimmer, even though I only won 2 matches against one person.
Ok, so I just had a Shrine of Expansion that didn't expand. That is something I'm not cool with!
So far, I find that most of these changes are very, very bad.
What does this mean? Clicking seems to be exactly the same as it was before.
How does it work? It gives a sort of not really useful explanation, but so far, I've been unable to get anyone to create any farms.
None of the expansion shrines work. They appear to be just beams of light now, and no matter what, no one can construct on them
So, does this have to be land outside a settlement? Do you have to then click the settlement icon to get a farmer to come out? So far, nothing I've tried has worked.
And what makes land fertile and efficient?
Actually, the lightning storms damage every building in the entire world, it would appear.
Doesn't really seem to work. Most all of my settlements are neither capable of "sprogging" (is that a technical term?) new followers, nor generating belief.
This is dumb.
Or just apparently causing all your people to disappear into a black hole, since the settlements don't generate people or belief
... so the only way to actually fight someone is to either wait until the clock runs out, or create a Champion?
Is that the "You need more resources!" hint that i'm getting about every 2 minutes?
Shrines replaced with beams that do nothing
IMO, very bad move.
Finger of God is now almost totally useless against buildings, but works -great- against enemy followers. (to win psuedo multiplayer battles, get a Champion ASAP, then wait for the opponent to place totem, once all his followers are at the Totem, do Finger of God on his totem spot, and you win.)
What does that mean?
Yeah, now I've got a ton of land that I can't sculpt until after I figure out how to get a few dozen followers into it to mine it out first. :-S
... uh, what?
Is that what the temple in the east part of the main continent area is? What does it do?
Settlements almost never generate belief now
They already did
... how do you set followers on fire?
Which functionality would that be?
Also, can't beat 14th pseudo-multiplayer battle without the game crashing, and losing the last several minutes of work
Blade Eric...I'll try and sort a few of your points.
Firstly, for farming to work you need to have the Farming Science Card unlocked. It's the first of the 4 in the Agricultural Period Advances.
Fertile land is shown by brown crosses, similar to how green crosses shows fertility. Find a settlement and how right mouse on one of your abode. It should display some info, fertility and soil quality. The more brown plus signs the better. Finger of God the abode when you find good fertile soil, then clear the rocks and the Settlement should pop up a flag. Click it and a farmer will walk out to start farming.
There's a limit to the reach and it seems that you can no longer build normal abodes, so don't try building farms too far away. So far I've built up to a size 4 farm. Also, keep some Abodes amongst the farms. As your farmers work on cycles and will disappear into close abodes to rest.
Something I didn't realise straight away! I fingered of God'd them as they scurried off thinking it was a bug.
I also think as you farm the land, it becomes less fertile. Farms I placed on 5+ and 6+ land is now 3+
I've attached some files to help illustrate my point. I hope they help with the farming at least
have card, somehow managed to farm 1 unit of whatever it is that we're collecting now (since it's not people anymore).. but my guys won't do anything but build abodes. Should the area that you want to farm be -inside- the settlement, or -outside- the settlement, should it be -near- or -far- ?
i see from your screens, that you're inside and right next to the settlement ... but the description of the card implies to me that you should build outside of the settlement area
If you've got the card then it should work.
It's best to do them right next to your Settlements. Fertile land isn't as important, it just gives better results
Just Finger of God some abodes next to the Settlement itself and then destroy the rocks so a pitch comes up, does it not build farms?
Yeah, I found it hit and miss at first.
And now that I have farms, I have empty plots and need to rely on non-Settlement followers to build them. As they won't build farms or Abodes too far from the settlement it seems
Ok - few assumed bugs that I've spotted (I didn't read whole thread, mind if I repost something mentioned before)
Another odd bug - special follower types, such as Sampson & Wildman, seem to have the same flags over thier respective buildings.
I just unlocked Sampson, and went and built him a house on a mountain to grow their population. While the house population grew, I demolished a nearby Wild Man house because it wasn't where I wanted it, rebuilt that one, and when I returned to the Sampson house and clicked its flag, a Wild Man came out of the house. I now have no Sampsons, apparently.
Doh, can't edit. Comments. Followup to the one about Sampson/Wildman houses - I just clicked the flag again, and a Sampson came out.
So maybe this is intended? Not sure now.
I am now stuck at the white 22cans "Loading" screen after having played for quite a while today, then stopped..
..er.. wait.. it just came up.. it took a -really- long time but it worked
Mace1106, ok, so that worked. You have to "sprog" them from the settlement, and they apparently have to be within the settlement area to do it, probably because of that. Also, if you don't manage to lure your people all away from the spot first, then someone will just jump in and build a house before you can "sprog" the farmer.
Very, very messy.
... and if i "sprog" a farmer and there's an abode between the settlement and the potential farm plot, the farmer guys just walk into the abode, and disappear from existence.
alright, I'm giving up until the next patch. Farming, which is apparently the entire point of where I'm at (since I can't advance until I collect 1k wheat or something like that), is damn near impossible.
I ended up building one level 5 farm back in the initial start zone, that was generating literally thousands of wheat/grain/whatever every minute . So much that all the farmers that it let me create couldn't even make a dent in it. Within an hour, they had collected 2500, and the farm had over 10k+ sitting in reserve, and still growing.
At least, thanks to this discussion, I've learned that you hold right-mouse on things to get information about them. That wasn't made clear in the game initially :-) or maybe I missed it. There's still not much of an indicator as to what any of the information means, though. Strangely, that particular farm only has a single brown + on it, whereas I did manage to create a few others that have 4 and 5 +'s, and they produce absolutely nothing.
Then I had to leave for the airport, and won't be back to it for a week.. unless the game is playable in Linux with Wine. :-D
Mace, were you able to get to all of the expansion shrines, or do you have 1 or 2 of them completely submerged?
Thus far 1.3 has brought more irritation than anything.
Obviously the empty chests are an issue, as are the underwater shrines, and the damaged houses from the weather is pointless, annoying and just clutters the view of my world with "health" bars. Apparently I'm stuck now though, because I completed all of the missions, and now the crazy mission statue has an exclamation alert going off constantly. When I click on it, it just takes me to the mission screen, and I can do nothing but exit. The game is virtually unplayable now due to the annoying alarm.
In a lot of ways it feels like the game was suddenly dumbed down, as if they're just making a PC version of those stupid mobile games that make you wait hours for stuff to happen, only to have you check in and do a few things (Farmville, anyone?) and wait more, never really getting to PLAY anything. It started out feeling like a PC beta, but now its just feeling more like a poor mobile-to-PC port. If this is supposed to be cross-platform "play on your PC and your phone"....just don't. Mobile games are limited and a waste. This game has potential, and if it gets dumbed down to a mobile husk so you can play "anywhere", then it's bust.
The missions aren't as fun, as my population is practically uncontrollable due to the limited totem amount, as well as expansion during homeworld play. It was a lot more fun when I could just bring out my people and send however many anywhere I wanted and could just build houses on a whim. After finally going to the forums to figure out that in order to build farms (which I'm still somewhat confused over), I had to destroy houses, only to have to sit and wait for EVER as they accumulate the numbers of grain, or whatever it is I'm building up, I was pretty disappointed.
I'm stuck with no cards and no missions, and with no random MP option, nobody to go up against. With this update I gained the ability to farm, but can go no further than that. Considering all of this, the game is suddenly less fun, but I'm going to hold out and see if the next update improves.
Also...big clue to the "mobile" part being a big thing....replace all that clicking with tapping a screen, and suddenly its a run-of-the-mill mobile game with some fancy sculpting. I couldn't figure out why it was set up with so much clicking, until I imagined it on a phone. Thinking of it in that light, with the way you sculpt and the "finger of god" type things...and the way most of the interface/actions work...you end up with nothing more than a mobile game running on a PC.
Mace1106, the expansion shrine I had that was in the northwest corner worked, but it gave me a small-ish stretch of land somewhere in the straight northern area, quite a ways east of where the shrine was. The other two beams of light are pointing straight at underwater shrines that are completely unreachable.
Many of the changes in this last patch have seriously turned down the addictiveness of the game, that's for sure.
How about we start swapping Steam contacts here then? At least we can have a stab at proper multiplayer if people are online at the same time.
If anyone wants to add me on steam my username is mace1106
I'm not on as much now but I'll drop in on the game and I can accept steam requests anyway. Maybe Multiplayer will help us unlock a few extra cards?
The shrine I think you mean Eric I unlocked almost instantly with Gems so I think that may have caused it to glitch. Who knows!
I actually quite liked the majority of the changes, I just wish it was a bit more advanced. In terms of still being able to progress. I feel like I'm right on the heels of the limit of the game and so I don't achieve anything in playing it for long periods of time.
I liked the fact that since the patch I'm less concerned about Belief. I've got about 800k stockpiled and it makes for a much more relaxed experience. I can focus on little patches of land here and there and only collect the belief as I pass through.
Ashton, to combat the issues around storms and damaged abodes. If you've used all your settlements then place some Statues of Exploration in the clusters of non-Settlement houses. As soon as the storm starts and abodes get damaged, the statue will automatically kick followers out to repair them. There seems to be a limit on the number of Statues you can build, but it should keep most of the map a bit tidier for you...
Maybe I should just restart from scratch.
I'm "ekdikeo" on Steam.
Sadly I have to say the latest changes have rendered the game completely broken and so NOT fun that I can't continue with it.
I can't even comment on the Bronze Age. I'd been looking forward to it for weeks, but I never even made it to it.
Simply put the totem change has destroyed the game. In one simple stroke, my own people became the enemy. Since I could not control them, I was fighting against them constantly. And since they were now my enemy, in a mere hour or two of gameplay all attachment or interest I had in their well being evaporated. If they're not my people to control and care about, if I feel I'm fighting against them, I have no interest in bettering their state of living, and thus the entire point of the game is destroyed.
There's a laundry list of other problems than others have mentioned above that I could second, and I hope they'll be addressed. But the totem change, more than anything else, is entirely game breaking. I implore the 22cans team to reverse their thinking on this, because that alone has destroyed all fun I had with this game and I put 20 hours into it in the first two weeks, and after the patch I played less then 2 and gave up as it was no longer any fun.
I still have hope for the future of this game but the current direction is backwards, not forward. I'll check in again on the next patch, but till then, I fear I am done. *sadness*
I kind of have to agree with Justin -- the totem change, and the inability to "sprog" people if there isn't a job immediately for them within the very near vicinity, really kills the fascination that i had with it.
It was really fun, strangely, to build out a couple of screen fulls of real estate, drop a totem, sprog a couple hundred followers from halfway across the world, and watch them amass, then release them from the totem, and have them happily run off to start building homes
I thought things would improve with the mini-update of 1.3.12, but no... The expansion shrine opened a card, but no land expanded for the send time. Since there no more chests (opened them prior to 1.3 and they were 60% empty). I can not expand. Cannot grow, cannot advance. No cards, no advancement. Even though I love the concept, this game is very frustrating because of the slap-dash fixes, that create greater issues that grind Godus to a halt. Please help 22cans, you can do it!
what does that +100 even mean?
OK, definitely cannot "sprog" from -some- damaged abodes, but some of them are fine. This is completely preventing me from doing any activity whatsoever in one section of my world.
When at start-up full screen is enabled, the regular cursor appears as well as the in-game cursor.
Blade Eric, the +100 means +100 health for that follower. You can leftclick a follower to see that.
And now I'm in a state where I can't do anything because only damaged abodes that have flags but won't let me do anything with them are active.
I'm not having fun anymore. I haven't been having fun since the 1.3 upgrade. Hoping for something that will undo much of the changes in 1.3 soon.
Okay, so now I'm kinda done with this update. First I read somewhere that the manors card was unlocked at population 4000. So I worked my ass of to reach that (it took my about 5 days, but I was really curious for the bronze age). I reached it, but nothing happend. I just got another gems card.
I did some research and the wiki-page told me that it should have been unlocked at 2100 (or so). Dafuq guys! Not funny.
Please fix this. It really pisses me off.
I love 22cans' picture on insta-gram with the burn waffle... kinda parallels the upgrade. (lol) Seriously, I can do nothing. All the previous empty chest cards were lost. So no mahogany. Expansion did not work. No shrines, mining does work anymore (followers ignore it). Can't sim-battle because I cannot get to new age where `Amy ' is. I've scoured the world for chests... none. Also sometimes the arrow keys scroll freezes up (but not the zoom). I know, you're trying, but the communication is bad, and the upgrades almost seem to be downgrades... that literally halt the game (ie fun).
@Blade Eric: The +100 means you give an extra 100 life to a follower, I wouldn't call it a heal as you can give your followers far over 100 life.
IF you click right mouse on a follower you can actually see their life and current activity. Pretty useful stuff, although I think it's game dev stuff, not really for the final game. I like this health stuff and it has actually won me a battle mission by just constantly healing my own followers (doesn't sound like we are supposed to be able to do that though). Mind you, I started the battle with 6 (!) against 64 enemies and still won the game.
wow, ok.. i right click on dudes, and i get nothin'. weird.
then again, it took me a while to figure out that i had to right-hold on things to get status info.. but that doesn't do anything on followers, for me
Really? That's odd. I'm on a Mac, and it says version 1.3.1 and it does show stats in the top left corner area. I haven't tried right-hold to get status info myself though, will try that as well.
Some small bugs comments
1st farming bar up to 1000 doesn't display green, the rest up to 30000 where it (seems to) stop, does show a green bar.
2 expansion shrines in the west/north of the map don't expand the map.
I want to get to the stonehenge/viking looking ship area please!
I've completed all the battles and the farming bar stops at 30000 what next?
Lot's of massive changes to the game.... kinda weird for a beta, but if improved, hopefully gladly welcome. One question, with all these changes, no one has yet addressed that the 1.1 through 1.3+ game has continuity issues due to past shrines giving up no expansion and cards areas giving no cards, so expansion is impossible. Will we have to start all over again?

Actually, this has come up multiple times, but I think this has to do with the unfinished nature of the game at the moment more so than anything else. During the updates some shrines have also been added and spawn new Bronze Age stuff, so it's not quite something that doesn't get addressed from what I can tell.
To be honest though, I haven't been playing this game since v1.1., I have been playing from a few weeks before v.1.3 so my save game hasn't been affected by any of the major changes that might screw some shrine stuff up with older save games. I am not sure how they have fixed this, if at all.
Also, with the planned overhaul of the clicking system for sculpting the landscape in a more comfortable way, starting over with a new save should be much more comfortable too (despite the hours put in of course). I am very much looking forward to what they change to the sculpting and follower behavior.
